When light reflects off flat surfaces like water, car windshields, or snow, it becomes horizontally polarized, creating glare. Polarizing lenses filter this light, improving visual clarity by blocking reflections from reflective surfaces. These lenses benefit drivers, water sports enthusiasts, and hikers. However, LCD screens have polarizing filters, and their visibility may be affected when viewed through polarized glasses due to differing polarization axes.
