High-precision vision
The nanostructured, multi-layer anti-reflective coatings of IKYUM® lenses improve contrast perception and image clarity. Thanks to more transparent and anesthetic lenses, better visual comfort, no parasitic reflections and a more natural look. The nanostructured technology guarantees lenses that are more resistant and very easy to wear. The ultra-slip surfaces repels water, dust and greasy marks. IKYUM®, lenses designed to last and easy to live with.

SINGLE VISION UNIFOCAL
Unifocal lenses are designed to correct a simple vision disorder. You need single vision or unifocal lenses if nearsighted, farsighted, astigmatic or simply presbyopic. These lenses correct distance vision, near vision, and even intermediate vision in the case of presbyopia and if your prescription has been designed for it. These simple lenses contain only one focal point, which must be centered in your frames perfectly in relation to your pupil. These lenses correct only one defect at a time: either to see better at far vision or to see better at near vision. They can also correct a defect of astigmatism. These lenses are used for most people up to about 45 years of age. However, with age, the eye loses its «elasticity», that is the ability to adapt to the distance between the object and the eye. In this case, other so-called multifocal lenses are then recommended .

Proximity Lenses
Presbyopia is a natural evolution of sight that affects everybody from the age of forty. With age, the crystalline loses part of its elasticity and accommodation capacity. The eye is no longer able to restore a clear image, and the presbyopic individual person then has difficulty seeing close and has difficulties to read a book or a smartphone. One is forced to extend the arms, magnify the characters on screens or move closer to the light to read often time while reading. The first problems are noticed. Simple reading glasses for near vision will only perform function of a magnifying glass but will not allow to see clearly beyond near vision. It is therefore necessary to remove your glasses for intermediate or distant vision. The mid-distance lens supports the wearer in both near and intermediate vision. The mid-distance lens supports the wearer in both near and intermediate vision, allowing to read and distinguish between people close to you. On the other hand, it is not suitable for distance vision. It is therefore imperative to remove these glasses when driving, outdoor activities or watching television.

PROGRESSIVE
The progressive lens is a lens whose correction varies regularly from the top to the bottom of the lens and this without apparent delimitation. The upper part of the lens is the distance vision area and the lower part is the near vision area. These two zones are connected by a corridor called «progression» dedicated to the vision of intermediate distances. The geometry of the progression corridor follows the natural movement of the gaze during the transition from distance vision to near vision and vice versa. The variation of the correction on the lens, particularly in the progression corridor, inevitably leads to the appearance of zones of optical aberrations that can in some cases disturb vision and visual comfort. To limit these disturbances, the aberrations are calculated and optimized in order to be distributed as much as possible around the periphery of the lens. However, the width of the visual field in the corridor of progression and in the near vision zone is reduced, so the quality of a progressive lens also involves minimizing these aberrations and their distribution in the extreme periphery of the lens in order to increase the visual field.
